Baby Camping Pack List

What to pack for camping becomes a harder question when you add packing for a baby. Forgetting my own jacket is one thing, but imagine trying to reason with a screaming 13 month old because she’s cold. A nightmare.

Here’s a list of everything we’ve been packing with us this summer. Temperatures have ranged from 5°C to +25°c so we’ve had to be ready for anything.

With enough of a head start we were able to find most things second hand. We also took advantage of MEC. I was a MEC kid growing up and even today they have a great selection of practical outdoor clothing for babies. Because their gear is durable and in high demand we've had no problem quickly re-selling outgrown items. MEC also has a Toaster Trade-In program that lets you exchange pre-loved MEC Toaster Suits, Parkas, Bibs and Bunting Suits in exchange for 50% of their price. Wee Woolies makes pure merino wool clothing and is another staple brand for us. It's pricey and harder to find second hand [because they're so popular up here!], but the quality is excellent. Marigold lived in their wool onesie this winter and their onesie makes an essential camping base layer.

Ok, here's our complete list.
